Freak And Mighty

We have just started reading freak the mighty and it seems like a very interesting book. We have learned about both Freak and Mighty. First we drew pictures to show what we thought Mighty looked like. I drew a picture and wrote words describing what i think about when I picture him. The picture above is very similar to the one I drew to show Mighty. I thought that some words that described Mighty were: Tough, Baby, Little, Evil, Mad, Temperamental, Strong, Big Boy, and Bulky. Those are some of the words that popped up into my mind when I pictured Mighty. We then read more and the book started introducing a new character named Freak. For Freak we also drew pictures and wrote words describing him. Below is similar to the picture I drew of Freak.

Although This picture is similar to the one I drew. It isn't exactly the same, Because the one I drew had crutches. But as you can see this picture is much different than the one of Mighty. We also were introduced to four more characters. Three on Mighty's side, and one on Freak's side. The first characters we were introduced to out of the four were Grams and Grims, Mighty's grandparents. When we were reading about them I pictured Grams to be very old and to love cooking for some reason, and I pictured Grims like Mighty. Very strong and Tough. So here are some more pictures that were similar to the ones that I drew of Grams and Grims. :D 

After we learned a little about Grams and Grims we were introduced to even more characters. There was "HIM" and Gwen of Air. "Him" was Mighty's dad. But Grams and Grims never called him by his name because of something he had done. So they called him "him". There was also Gwen Of Air which was Freak's mom. She was described as beautiful. Here are pictures of what I think Gwen Of Air and HIM looked like. :]






Although this picture is a little bit over exaggerant, it still is what I sorta thought he looked like. We haven't learned about any other characters yet, but we will soon, so I will be adding more characters on later!

Bad Girls - Chapter 1

I read the first chapter of Bad Girls and It was very interesting. This book is about these two girls who are new to a school. And their new teacher is very strict. They have a lot of things in common, like they have the same initials, they were born in the same place, they sit next to each other, and lots more. One is a bad girl to begin with and one has a bad girl hidden inside of her. I've only read a chapter of the book, so the story hasn't really developed yet. But as the story is going so far it seems like a pretty interesting book to read the rest of.
I chose this book because first the title hooked me when it said "Bad Girls" because it seemed like a book I might be interested in. So then I read the back which hooked me even more. The back explained how the 2 girls were new to the school and they want to start trouble together and how they knew that they were friends when they first met.
Well the author of the book is a woman who based the book on a person she knew. Well actually the book wasn't really based on the girl, the girl she wrote about just inspired her. In fact, the girl she wrote the book about was the total opposite of the book. She was a nice and kind girl who never got into any trouble. But that is why she wrote her book. Because it would be more interesting to readers to hear a story about bad girls, other than another story about good ones. So this is how her story started. But I don't know what message she will be trying to get across to her readers yet because I am not to the turning point in the story yet.
